Manage all your creatives with the new creative library tool

We’ve released a new feature in the Workspace area that uses efficiency to improve creative flexibility. Users can now build a creative library to house all their creatives in one place, and seamlessly call any creative from any campaign.

The new feature eradicates the previously time-consuming task undertaken when adding creatives on a per line basis. For campaigns that had tens or hundreds of lines, regularly updating creatives was a mammoth task and limited flexibility and creative experimentation.

Now advertisers can create a folder and upload, update, or delete creatives from one place, and see their changes intelligently reflected across campaigns.

In addition to increasing efficiency, the library also gives advertisers a creative storage facility much like a library. Now from one place, they can quickly reference past creatives or compare and find creatives that worked well in the past. We have also added powerful filtering options so, as your library grows, you can still filter and find what you need FAST.

It’s a simple concept with powerful results and fits right in with our key goals to make Smadex as easy and efficient as possible. We love building new amazing features that remove complex and/or inefficient tasks, and we think Smadex users are really going to benefit from this one.

Headway completes acquisition of Smadex

13/06/2018 company update: We are pleased to announce that Headway, a business unit of Entravision Communications Corporation (NASDAQ EVC), has completed the acquisition of Smadex.

We are excited to share today that Smadex has been acquired by Headway, a global technology driven media company providing online and mobile advertising services. For Smadex, this acquisition will provide investment to continue to innovate and build an even stronger and industry leading Demand Side Platform; for Headway, its global clients will benefit from a proven and advanced programmatic trading platform for performance (user acquisition and re-engagement) and brand advertising (video).

The plan is for Smadex to fully integrate into Headway and continue to provide existing services to customers, while also bringing new mobile programmatic capabilities to Headway’s 500 plus global clients, serviced from its 19 offices around the world. We will be following up with additional information and more details about our combined plans with customers over the coming weeks.

This is a very exciting time for Smadex as we continue on our journey to push the boundaries of innovation in mobile advertising technology. We have a strong position in the market, and together with Headway, we can create new and better outcomes for our combined customers.

In the last year we’ve launched many innovative cutting-edge mobile advertising features. Every year, MWC is bigger and better. Mobile is impacting our lives in ever increasing many ways, so much so that it’s now a focus for most companies. This year, MWC 2018 is expected to be the biggest yet; last years estimates put the number of attendees at approximately 110k, this year estimates put the number at 120k.

The hot topics we expect to hear a lot about are wearable devices, connected cars and homes, mobile app technologies including AR and VR and mobile advertising.

Meet Smadex at MWC 2017

Another year has flown by and it’s that time again to finalize planning for Mobile World Congress or (or MWC as it is most commonly known as) in Barcelona. This year, the event will run from Monday 27th February to Thursday 2nd March 2017.

In the last year, Smadex has focused on developing  the leading mobile video programmatic advertising platform for agencies and brands.  We are looking forward  to talking all things video but also mobile advertising in general and in particular performance or “brand-formance”.

The TV commercials have started, that means that Holiday Season shopping is now well under way. Halloween marks the turning point and Black Friday is just over one week away on November 25th. Smadex hires ex-Adfonic co-founder Paul Childs as Chief Revenue Officer

We’re excited to announce that mobile advertising veteran Paul Childs has joined us as Chief Revenue Officer, where he will be responsible for marketing, business development, revenue and repositioning the business to accelerate global growth.

Paul was co-founder and COO at Adfonic (now Byyd) where he was instrumental in building the most successful mobile ad tech firm in EMEA. After Adfonic, Paul was VP GM EMEA at MoPub where he established business operations in the region and more recently CMO at LoopMe, where he helped them establish a leading global position as a mobile video DSP. Paul has also held a number of advisory board roles in the mobile ad tech space.

Commenting on his new role, Paul said: “The key success in ad tech is threefold – focus, hire super smart people and build awesome technology; because ad tech is becoming extremely complex and you need people with engineering or data science backgrounds to succeed – that’s why every C Level person at Smadex has an engineering background. There are not many businesses out there that can process hundreds of thousands of global transactions per second. Smadex aims to scale worldwide and support thousands of customers with their mobile marketing objectives.”

It’s that time of year again when people in the mobile industry start preparing for probably the single biggest mobile event of the year with a truly international focus. Last year, various sources quoted more approximately 95,000 people attended the event, a number that has continually increased year-on-year, demonstrating how important mobile is becoming in society, business and in the lives of consumers.

The team at Wired has shortlisted Smadex as one of Europe’s top 100 “hottest start-ups” for 2015.

Obviously, we are super excited that we’ve made the list, but more importantly that we’ve been recognized by a top tier magazine and journalists/analysts for our mobile advertising technology.

It’s a priviledge to list amongst other incredible and smart startups such as Marfeel, which is optimizing web content for mobile and monetizing it in a super smart way, and Wallapop which brings location-based buying and selling to consumers.
